 Taiwan singer-songwriter Darryl Ou (歐育齊) was recently a victim of sexual harassment. The person involved is understood to be one of his music supporter from Facebook. The incident happened after he wrote a post at his Facebook page: "My mind was hollowed out and could not complete any single thought! In this chaotic world, I can also create calm within myself." Darryl Ou shared the encounter through a phone interview, where he revealed that this is the first time something like this happened to him. When asked about details of the encounter, Darryl at first was quite reluctant to reveal. It was only with some persuasion that he revealed that the person involve is actually a male. Darryl shared that the mystery male supporter wrote to him through Facebook inbox message, expressing his love for Darryl after listening to his song "I Don't Want" (不想), and told him that "he" is willing to be with him and encourage him not to get depressed. Thinking that it is just a message of encouragement, Darryl responded with words of thanks. What happened after shocked him. The mystery guy went on asking Darryl details on his sexual life and even offered to fly over to Taiwan to meet him. It was understood that Darryl did not reply to him after that. When asked if he is willing to accept "such request or offer", he immediately laughed and reply that this is his FIRST experience and he really don't how to handle such situation, and as such he choose not to reply the message any further. He brought up this issue to his artiste manager and was advise to block this music supporter from his page. |
