Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi is not one to mince her words and she most definitely will not tolerate anyone mocking or spreading baseless rumours about her.
Earlier this week, a netizen incurred the wrath of Ziyi, 45, when she posted on Weibo some gossip about the star and her upcoming thriller The Murderer, which recently wrapped production. The netizen claimed to have heard that it was Ziyi who had asked director Peter Chan to invite Chinese actress Yang Mi to star in the movie. The reason? It would generate more buzz for the film and in hopes revive Ziyi’s lacklustre career. They could also make use of the alleged rivalry between Yang Mi and Zhao Liying, who also stars in the film, to stir hype. When Ziyi caught wind of the post, she angrily retorted in English: "Not true! Shut up, idiot!". Ziyi's unexpected response went viral, though many commented that it was not uncharacteristic of the straightforward actress to hit back. Some also wondered why she waited so long to respond to rumours that have been circulating since filming began. According to reports, the second female lead role, Su Qing, was passed from Yang Mi to Ni Ni, and then to Liying. There were also rumours that Liying had snagged the role and Yang Mi was relegated to a cameo role as a female prisoner, sparking a war between fans of the actresses. However, Peter later clarified that The Murderer features an ensemble cast and that Ziyi is the only female lead in the show. The film, which is based on a real-life case in Shanghai in the ’40s, revolves around a woman accused of dismembering her husband. Following Ziyi's outburst, the netizen quickly explained that it was a coincidence that the actress saw her Weibo post and this is not a coordinated attempt to divert attention. "Zhang Ziyi is quite low-key and a good actress. Stop spreading rumours everywhere. I feel very wronged being scolded like this. I reiterate: it was purely an accident, and not a diversion like what was speculated online," the netizen wrote. The next day, the netizen deleted the post and apologised to Ziyi, clarifying: "What I heard was that Zhang Ziyi and Yang Mi know each other and have a good relationship. Yang Mi knows many directors in Hong Kong, which is why there were such rumours." The netizen added: "As for Zhang Ziyi's low box office numbers, I think it's because she wasn’t ambitious after getting married and didn't have many projects. After her divorce, she can revive her career with The Murderer. That's what I meant. "Anyway, thank you Zhang Ziyi for turning the tables on me and I accept the scolding. After all, what I said was indeed unpleasant, but I believe that frank criticism is valuable. After all, it's normal to experience a downturn after being out of the limelight for so long. The Murderer is sure to revive [your career], just like The Grandmaster did. Sister Zhang Ziyi, don't be too angry."

Kanye “Ye” West and his wife, Bianca Censori, appeared to have a spontaneous photo shoot, and the 29-year-old model slayed in her new look. In pictures that he shared to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, March 13, the 46-year-old rapper revealed Bianca’s full ensemble: a rose pink braless top, white lace leggings and matching high heels. The front of the shirt featured small white bows down her chest, and the back had a criss-cross tie-up.
Ye made sure to snap various pictures while Bianca changed poses for the photo shoot. In a few of the snaps, the architect looked past the camera, seemingly at whomever took the pictures. She also turned away from the lens to showcase the back of her outfit. Earlier this week, Bianca was spotted standing next to Ye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, at his Vultures album listening party. While it’s unclear if the two women spent much time together, social media clips revealed they stood side by side and appeared cordial at the event. Kim, 43, also brought along her and Ye’s son Saint. The ex-spouses also share children North, Chicago and Psalm together. Ye and Bianca — who tied the knot in late 2022 — have made headlines for their mysterious marriage, as fans initially didn’t know much about the Australia native. Over the past year, the Yeezy designer has brought his wife to various events around the world and put together some of her outfits. Last year, a report surfaced claiming that Ye and Bianca’s relationship was in trouble due to alleged tensions with her family. “Her family has never been a fan of Ye, and those close to her have questioned whether marrying him was the right decision,” the U.S. Sun reported. “He is a very difficult person to be around and work for, and Bianca has been one of the most patient people ever to deal with him. She’s been all about Ye.” Nevertheless, the duo is still together. Ye’s friend Justin LaBoy even claimed that he believed the “Stronger” artist and the Yeezy staff member will have children of their own. “I think they’re going to have a bunch of babies,” Justin told TMZ earlier this week. “I love her. She’s great. She lives an amazing life. I’ve been around Ye for years now, and she’s extremely happy.” When former Singapore Idol Season 2 runner-up Jonathan Leong and his wife Jeneen Goh announced in an Instagram Reel that they would be becoming parents, no one expected the couple to also reveal that they had gone the in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) route.
The couple, both 41, shared that they consider themselves "very lucky as they only did two rounds of egg extraction and one transfer. “To be honest, that was all we were budgeting for in terms of finances and time,” says Jonathan. When we probe as to how much they forked out for IVF, the couple admits they can’t recall the exact amount they shelled out. But as they travelled to Thailand for most of the procedure, they say the cost is comparable to what one would spend in Singapore. Jon now works in an investment asset management firm while Jeneen runs digital marketing agency, 21 Stories. The couple, who have been married for eight years, decided two years ago that they were going to try for a child. “I still remember it was the first day of Chinese New Year in 2022, the year of the Tiger. Both Jeneen and I woke up dreading the typical questions that the older folks were going to ask us,” says Jon. In the midst of “What do you think we should say?”, the couple shares that the discussion suddenly moved to, “Should we think about this?” Jonathan is an only child, and his parents are both retired though both do part time work to keep active. His mum does volunteer work at a thrift shop for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Singapore while his father is involved in transport and courier services. Jeneen is the younger of two kids and her mum is a homemaker while her father works in property. Both Jonathan and Jeneen tried to conceive naturally for a few months but a couple of friends and family convinced them to consider IVF to save time as they were already in their 40s. According to Jonathan, they were practical about their chances and that even if IVF didn’t give them their desired result, they would have just happily moved on. “I probably would have gone on to adopt another dog,” says Jon, whose beloved pooch Toto passed away in 2015. Well, it seems that a new pup would have to wait because the Leongs are due to welcome their baby girl (yes, they are having a girl!) in May this year. Though the couple were naturally ecstatic, both had different initial thoughts when they saw the much-awaited ‘blue cross’ on the pregnancy test kit. While Jeneen says she was “a little nervous”, Jonathan felt like a real winner. “I always lean towards expecting a good result and when I saw the blue cross, I felt like I won a competition!” he laughs. For all the good news and excitement, the couple shares with reporters that they didn’t expect the IVF journey to be as tough as it was. In fact, when we ask what their biggest misconception of IVF was, Jonathan reveals that he thought the process would be “smooth and simple”, and both of them would be able to lead normal lives. Wait… what? “Yeah… I still thought anyone could carry on working. I think it is also due to my personality where I always think I can juggle five, 10, 15 things at once,” he replies sheepishly. Jeneen also initially shared Jonathan’s carefree sentiments on IVF. “It is a good thing I didn’t go and find out too much about the side effects. The body goes through quite a bit of changes though thankfully, I don’t think my mood was too affected,” she says. The couple also say that if they want another kid, IVF would probably not be on the cards. “For me, it’s a no. I am already 42,” Jeneen quickly replies when asked on the idea of another child. Jonathan agrees and says he “wouldn’t want to put her through it again,” and cites finances as another contributing factor. Why did it take so long to want to have kids? JONATHAN LEONG: There are two reasons: Couple time and building of our careers. We were both fully focused on our professional lives which took most of our time and energy. We also really enjoy spending time as a couple and wanted to see more of the world together. We get along especially well when we travel – which is something we have promised to prioritise even after the child arrives. Did you regret waiting for so long? JON: Not in the least. We really love spending time together as a couple and wanted to delay it for as long as possible. How did your lives change when Jeneen started on IVF? JON: Jeneen was very aware of her emotions, but I think she was still a little frustrated because her life was disrupted. There were so many meds to take, and she was still running her company and meeting clients at the same time. It is really impressive how she went through the entire thing. How did you support her during this time? JON: I tried to be there for every test and appointment and when she felt down, I would try to cheer her up. In fact, there was once I put on an Elvis wig and wore glasses to try and get her to smile (laughs). We had a little scare after the embryo transfer and there was some bleeding and the doctor advised that she move as little as possible as it wasn’t a good sign. Oh no, that must have been quite scary. JON: There is only so long that you can stay in bed. I think Jeneen got quite frustrated. It was as if she was going through the pandemic lockdown again, but this time alone. I ended up getting a wheelchair so she could at least go out around the estate instead of just staying home. Jeneen, any tips on how husbands can better support their wives while they go through IVF? JENEEN GOH: It would definitely be good if wives share with their husbands what she is going through. With Jon, he was trying to be as supportive as much as possible, but at certain times, I felt quite alone and I think it was because I didn’t tell him how I was feeling internally. What did both your parents say about the pregnancy and how happy were they? JON: To say they are overjoyed is an understatement as we made them wait for quite a long time. I think they were starting to give up hope (laughs). In fact, it also came as a pleasant surprise that so many of our friends, colleagues and extended family feel super excited for the arrival of our little one too. What questions do you hope family and friends not ask? JENEEN: (Without missing a beat) I hope they do not ask when we will have baby number two! JON: (Laughs) As someone who doesn’t like counting our chickens before they hatch, I probably won’t answer. Another question I don’t like is when someone asks if I prefer a boy or a girl. To be honest, I would be happy with either gender as long as the baby is healthy. But I have been getting a few witty comments like “Oh, you are getting a Xiao Long Nu this year!” as it’s the Year of the Dragon (laughs). Who will play good and bad cop? JENEEN: (Laughs) I think the bad cop might be me because I have a feeling the baby girl will easily wrap Jon around her little finger. Jeneen, you painstakingly designed your beautiful home. Any plans to change up the house when the baby arrives? JON: I had to laugh in the middle of your question because the change has already begun! JENEEN: I tell you... I am very sad! I will have to sacrifice my walk-in wardrobe and turn it into a nursery. JON: Everyone who comes to our place says once the child comes, everything will have to be changed. But if I can, I would want to upgrade us to a bigger home. So Jon, does that mean you will need to hustle harder now that you are going to be a dad? JON: I wouldn’t say that because I am already hustling very hard (laughs). But now it is about focusing on doing better to better provide. I’m already looking after my folks as I’m the only child, and now also needing to look after the new one coming, All of this while I still feel like a kid myself most of the time. Guess Heavenly King Jacky Cheung isn’t immune to Covid-19 after all.
Last week, the 62-year-old sparked concerns for his health after he cancelled three of his 60+ Concert Tour shows in Shanghai due to health reasons. The shows were supposed to be held on March 8, 9 and 10 at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center. It was later revealed that the Hong Kong star had come down with Covid and is currently self-isolating at home. He is set to resume his Shanghai concert on Mar 15. However, given how notoriously difficult it is to score tickets to Jacky's concert, many fans have called on organisers to postpone the shows rather than cancel them. Well, ask and you shall receive. On Sunday (Mar 10), concert producer CMC Live issued a statement on Weibo, announcing that the shows would be postponed to a later date this year. Fans also have the option of getting a refund for their tickets, as well as compensation for travel and accommodation expenses incurred up to the limits set by concert organisers. Concertgoers can get a full reimbursement for train tickets, and up to 2,000 yuan (S$370) for domestic flights per person for each way. For international flights, they can claim up to 5,000 yuan (S$950) for each way. As for accommodation, each person will be reimbursed up to 800 yuan (S$152) per room per night. The reimbursement policy has earned praise from netizens, who called it comprehensive and generous. “The reimbursement amount is more than twice the limit for my business trip,” declared one fan. Netizens also commended Jacky for "maintaining top-notch standards in his personal and professional life" and called him a “god-level role model in the industry”. “This is what a God of Song should be – possessing both talent and responsibility,” wrote one fan. Regina King is dedicating her upcoming film, Shirley, to her late son Ian Alexander Jr., who died by suicide at the age of 26 in 2022. In an upcoming Good Morning America appearance, the Miss Congeniality 2 star described how grief has changed her life since her son’s tragic death.
“Grief is a journey. I understand that,” Regina pointed out in the March 2024 interview. “Grief is love that has no place to go. And that we all handle it differently. I know that it’s important to me to honor Ian in the totality of who he is, speak about him in the present, because he is always with me and the joy and happiness that he gave all of us.” Regina also acknowledged the guilt she still struggles with as a parent. She continued, “When a parent loses a child, you still wonder, ‘What could I have done so that wouldn’t have happened?’ I know that I share this grief with everyone, but no one else is Ian’s mom, you know? Only me. So it’s mine. And the sadness will never go away. It will always be with me.” In January 2022, the Oscar winner announced in a statement that Ian had died by suicide. “Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian,” the Oscar winner, 51, said in a statement. “He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you.” Ian Was Regina’s Only Child Ian Jr. was born on January 19, 1996 to Regina and record producer Ian Alexander. Regina and Ian Sr. married a year later and divorced in 2007. Regina later admitted that raising her only child as a single parent wasn’t always easy, but well worth it. “You don’t know what unconditional love is. You may say you do, but if you don’t have a child, you don’t know what that is,” she told People. “When you experience it, it’s the most fulfilling [thing] ever.” He Followed in His Father’s Footsteps Like his father, Ian would pursue a career in music, using his talents as a DJ. In a post to his Instagram just three days before the sad news of his death was announced, Ian told his fans he would be performing in a Los Angeles club in the following week. “It’s been a minute but now we back at the jump off,” he wrote alongside a promotional photo of himself for the upcoming gig. Ian Was Proud of His Mother Ian clearly loved his mother, as he often took to social media to express his feelings for her. Last January, he shared an adorable photo of the pair on Instagram for Regina’s birthday writing, “Happy birthday to my co, so extremely proud of you and inspired by your love, artistry, and gangsta! To be able to watch you take this lifetime by its neck and make it yours is something i will forever be grateful for. But to have you as my mother is the greatest gift I could ask for. Love you mom! This day and everyday YO DAY!! Ian and Regina Got Matching Tattoos The special mother/son bond between Regina and Ian was nowhere more obvious than in their matching tattoos. Regina had “unconditional love” written in Aramaic on her arm, while Ian sported it on his shoulder. “We were taking Kabbalah classes,” Regina explained of the tattoos on The View in 2017. “He said, let’s choose three [designs] each and not tell each other which ones they are and whichever one is matching, that’s the one we’re going to get tattooed — and we both chose unconditional love.” Ian Walked the Red Carpets With Regina Regina and Ian were a staple on the red carpet, as she has been nominated for numerous awards over the years, which brought her an Oscar, a Golden Globe and four Emmys. At the 2019 Golden Globes, Ian gushed about his mom when he was interviewed on the red carpet. “She’s just a super mom,” he told reporters. “She doesn’t really let bad work days or anything come back and ruin the time that we have. It’s really awesome to have a mother who I can enjoy spending time with.” Homegrown Mandopop star JJ Lin kicked off the China leg of this JJ20 World Tour with a two-night show in Chengdu on March 9 and 10.
Though he came down with a fever and cold before his concert, the singer insisted on performing as he didn’t want to disappoint fans. Before taking the stage, JJ, 42, apologised to fans through social media, and also admitted during the show that he wasn’t in the best condition. While he managed to complete both shows, what you didn’t see were the struggles that went on behind the scenes. Recently, JJ posted a YouTube video sharing moments from his Chengdu concert. In the video, he revealed he had caught a cold some time before the concert and thought he had fully recovered. But after arriving in Chengdu, he caught a chill again. He was down with a fever on the day of the first show and could barely sing during rehearsals. Fortunately, his condition improved after taking medication and he finished the show without a hitch. However, the fever persisted the next day and did not improve after getting an IV drip. JJ could barely hit the high notes during rehearsals and despite feeling extremely exhausted, he insisted on going ahead with the show. During the mid-show break, he had to replenish his glucose levels and get a oxygen treatment in an ambulance backstage. Even the star himself was surprised that he managed to finish the show. The next day, JJ took to his socials to reveal how worried he was before going on stage. “I was so afraid. Everything in my body was telling me to not get on stage, but my heart was clear: the stage is my home and I will sing till the end even if it’s my very last breath,” he said. He also thanked the audience for their enthusiasm and encouragement, which kept him going. Many fans were touched by JJ’s sincerity and professionalism. There were comments like "I'm really crying. Even if you rest a little longer, it's okay”, "Who knew? I cried all the way to the end", and "Thank you for persisting to the end even in such a difficult situation”. Some who attended the Mar 10 show were initially upset that the intermission was longer than usual, and had thought JJ was taking a break. Little did they know he was getting treatment. As for his condition, JJ's label JFJ productions said the star is still recuperating and hopes he will recover in time for his next show in Hangzhou this weekend. Get well soon! Former Mediacorp actor Tay Ping Hui, 53, announced in an Instagram Reel that for the first time in 25 years, he will be going solo as a freelancer.
“It has been a great time with GHY for the past five years,” he wrote. After leaving Mediacorp in 2018 after 19 years, he signed a five-year contract with Chinese-based media company Perfect World Pictures, which later became known as GHY Culture & Media. “But now it is time to move on and do the things I want to do, pick projects that I am passionate about, and work with people that I want to work with,” he added. With GHY Culture & Media, Pinghui appeared in several Chinese productions such as Heroes and Legend of the Condor Heroes. In the Reel, he recalled that it was not an easy decision. "I was at the top of my game, having established myself in multiple disciplines. Things were going great," he said. “From the safe waters of Singapore, I jumped into the big ocean of China, where the shark swam and the weak and feeble were devoured,” he said. In his post, he wrote: “Freedom can be intimidating, but it is extremely liberating… Who knows? Maybe I shall head to the west in search of new challenges.” Wait… Is the actor following in the footsteps of Tan Kheng Hua and Lim Kay Siu and taking a stab at Hollywood? In a phone interview with reporters, he revealed he had auditioned for a role in Netflix’s The Brothers Sun though he wasn’t picked. “I like to challenge myself. If I have the opportunity, I want to experience, learn, and understand how filming is done in Western countries,” he said. Pinghui also shared that he feels the time has come for him “to come out on my own.” “For example, when I was in Mediacorp, I also thought it would be great if I could go abroad to shoot some TV dramas and experience different production methods,” he added. “Looking back, I have really been around a lot. Filming in places such as Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia... When you go to different places, you will see different working methods of different crew,” he said. The actor says he does not rule out working with GHY Culture & Media or film in China again in the future. “It shouldn’t be said that because I am no longer an artiste with GHY, there will be no chance to collaborate in the future.” In fact, Pinghui is confirmed to be in upcoming iQiyi drama Legends of Nanyang. When asked if he would ever consider returning to Mediacorp, Pinghui said he enjoys being a freelancer but “if there is a suitable role with an interesting plot, why not?” For now, Pinghui is excited about directing an upcoming movie about dementia and is currently finishing up the script. “The topic is very close to me, and I feel that this is a subject that Singapore must gradually face,” he said. The movie will start filming this year and will be distributed by Clover Films. Back in 2014, Pinghui directed Meeting the Giant, a coming-of-age sports film that starred Ian Fang, Zhu Houren, and Bernard Tan. Taiwanese star and ex-Fahrenheit member Aaron Yan has finally reached a “satisfactory resolution” in his dispute with his former lover, 21-year-old influencer Yao Le.
Last June, the latter accused Aaron, 38, of raping him and secretly filming sex videos of him in 2018 when he was 16. The videos were later leaked. The pair had their third court-mediation session on Mar 11, and it is understood that Aaron was did not show up for the session and was represented by his lawyer. According to reports, Yao Le appeared relaxed after the mediation, and told reporters that he hopes the case can be settled soon so he can return to his normal life. He did not respond when asked if he had forgiven Aaron. When Aaron turned up later for the court session, he told reporters they had reached a settlement. Though Aaron declined to disclose the amount, Yao Le revealed previously that he requested Aaron donate NT$7mil (S$290K) to a charity fund, among other terms of the settlement. In December last year, sexual assault and secret photography charges against Aaron were dropped due to insufficient evidence. Following that, the singer implored on the media and public to choose their words carefully and not to attribute to him things he had not done. Is NSYNC Going on Tour? Justin Timberlake Reunites the Band for First Performance in 10 Years3/18/2024 NSYNC fans rejoice! The beloved boy band reunited for their first performance since 2013 during his latest Los Angeles concert on March 13, 2024. Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick brought the crowd to tears as they sang some of their biggest hits, like “Bye Bye Bye,” “It’s Gonna Be Me,” “Girlfriend” and their latest single “Paradise.” Last year, the group dropped “Better Place” as part of the Trolls Band Together soundtrack on September 29, 2023. While it’s not certain what other projects will come of the reunion, it’s certainly exciting to seesinging together again. Not only that, but the band collaborated on the song titled “Paradise” on Justin’s 2024 album, Everything I Thought I Was.
Along with the new music, fans are clamoring to see the boy band take the stage again! It’s been over a decade since the group’s last musical reunion, and it’s been even longer since their last full-blown tour. Lance did hint that there was some hope for an NSYNC reunion in an appearance in the online game show Rent Free. NSYNC Reunite for New Music Reports that NSYNC had gotten back in the studio for the new song had surfaced back in August. Before announcing the track, the boy band took the stage at the 2023 MTV VMAs to present Taylor Swift with the Best Pop award. “Over 20 years ago, we were just kids when we won Best Pop Video for ‘Bye Bye Bye.’ It was our first VMA, and it meant the world to us. It validated our hard work,” Justin said at the start of the presentation. Ahead of the official track announcement, the band had lip-synced along to the audio from a Friends scene asking “Do you know something?” It was later revealed that “Better Place” would be a part of the Trolls Band Together soundtrack. Snippets of the band singing the new track can be heard in the trailer. Justin voices the Branch character in the movie. Justin also dropped the track list for his 2024 album, which includes one collab with NSYNC titled “Paradise.” Is NSYNC Going on Tour? While nothing official has been announced, Lance did hint that he hoped to have more to tell fans in the near future during the Rent Free appearance, per Page Six. “Look, we are talking about it — and I hope to have some good news, at some point,” he said when talking about the reunion. Joey Fatone had spoken to Hollywood Life about the possibility of a reunion in an exclusive interview in November. He said that he hoped to have a definite answer for fans in the near future. “I don’t mind answering, because of the fact that hopefully soon, I will get an answer,” he said. “Whether it be yes, whether it be no, I hate saying, ‘I don’t know yet,’ but it is true.” Joey also expressed some hope for a reunion so that his daughters could get to experience what the band was like. “My kids have never really seen me perform with NSYNC. So for people that are fans that grew up listening to us, I feel almost the same way. It sounds weird, but it is true because I want my kids to see what I did,” he said. Earlier, Lance said that the quintet isn’t planning on a reunion tour, in an Entertainment Tonight interview. As the interviewer mentioned that fans have been clamoring for a tour, he said that there’s nothing on the horizon. “Hopefully in a perfect world, that might happen one day, but again, no plans right now,” he said. While there’s nothing set in stone, Lance did seem open to the idea. He admitted that the group were listening to the fans. “I’ve been telling the fans: we don’t have solid plans right now, because we’re waiting for the strike to end. We’ve got things to do, but they’re definitely shaping our future,” he told ET. Ahead of Lance’s interview, a report from TMZ said that they didn’t plan on touring, releasing an album, or doing a residency. Most recently, Justin appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show on January 30, 2024, and confirmed that he and his pals have been working on new music together. “And also as it pertains to harmonies… I’ve spent some time with four other guys doing a lot of harmonies,” he said during the talk show appearance. J.T. also touched on their 2023 reunion. “That was fun,” he said to Kelly Clarkson. “It’s kind of crazy, like, there’s so much that just picks up right where it left off as far as the chemistry.” Additionally, Justin reassured NSYNC fans that something is coming soon. “We’ve been in the studio, so there may be a little something in the future, too,” he added. Despite the exciting tease, Justin did not reveal if he and his bandmates will release a new album or if they will head on tour this year. Less than two months later, Justin invited his bandmates to perform with him during a concert in L.A., fueling rumors that there could possibly be a tour in the near future. Nevertheless, they haven’t confirmed the rumors. Earlier NSYNC Reunions While NSYNC split up in 2005, the boy band has gotten together on a handful of occasions over the years for both musical and non-musical reunions. When Justin earned the Video Vanguard award at the 2013 MTV VMAs, the group was part of his medley performance, singing “Girlfriend” and “Bye Bye Bye.” When the group was given a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 2018, they all got together for the ceremony and appeared on Ellen together. The group has also had a few occasions that they’ve had partial reunions. All of the members except Justin joined Ariana Grande on stage for her 2019 headline set at Coachella, where they sang her song “Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” and their own “Tearin’ Up My Heart.” In April 2022, Joey, Lance, and Chris gave an impromptu performance at Ryan Cabrera and Alexa Bliss’ wedding. When Was the Last Time NSYNC Toured? While there have been a handful of performances since the group split up, the boy band’s final tour was in 2002 to promote their album Celebrity. The tour ended in April 2002, and the band began a hiatus, which they never returned from. The members’ final appearance as NSYNC was in 2005 at the “Challenge for the Children,” but they didn’t perform. They released a greatest hits album that same year. While the band has not toured together in over 20 years, Justin has set out on numerous tours as a solo artist. His most recent time on the road was in 2019 for his The Man of the Woods tour. Matilda Tao Now Lives In Singapore With Son Who's Studying Here; Went Marketing With Stefanie Sun3/18/2024 Next time you're at the market, look around because there's a chance you might bump into Taiwanese host Matilda Tao.
At a recent press conference in Taipei for her new show, the 54-year-old star revealed that she's been living in Singapore with her 15-year-old son aka 'Little Dragon', who has been studying at an international school here since January. Matilda said she's been commuting between Singapore and Taiwan, and will be heading to the States in May for her 18-year-old daughter Dou Dou's high school graduation ceremony. Meanwhile, Matilda's actor husband Taiwanese actor Li Liren, 50, is alone in Taiwan with their two dogs. "You guys know Liren loves to cry... thankfully he's already gotten used to it now," she joked, adding that she and Little Dragon weren't even in Taiwan to celebrate her husband's birthday back in January. According to Matilda, her daughter has applied to universities in both the States as well as Singapore and is currently waiting for the results. "She wants to study music, but she doesn't want to only major in courses such as music and the Arts. She wants to attend more general courses like Economics and Psychology too," she explained. The host also praised Singapore for having reasonable school fees. "With the money you need for a one-year course in a US university, you can study in Singapore for six years," she lamented, adding that private universities in the States now cost around US$90,000 (S$120,000) a year. "The truth is, the quality of education in Singapore is better than that of the US," she added. During the press conference, Matilda also received congratulatory messages from her showbiz pals such as Stefanie Sun, Lan Hsin-mei and Ariel Lin. "I felt like crying when I saw Stefanie on the screen!" she exclaimed. Recalling that she and Stef went grocery shopping at the market when she was in Singapore, Matilda praised latter for having no airs and for turning up at the crowded wet market in casual clothes. Matilda said that she did come across articles about Stefanie's public fallout with her sister earlier this year, but did not probe when they met. Matilda also has been keeping herself very busy ever since moving to Singapore. She's now the host of The Matilda Show, a new radio show on LOVE 972, and is on-air every every Monday to Friday from 11am to 12pm. |
