Woman in Malaysia horrified to see her sex video clips online after selling her phone

A woman was shocked to find video clips of her intimate moments with her partner being shared on social media platforms although she had deleted all the files before selling her mobile phone last year.

The woman, known only as Anna, begged the stranger who had uploaded the videos to retract them.

She found out that it was possible to restore deleted files and recordings even after reformatting the devices, and that such retrieved contents were being sold at RM200 (S$66) to those seeking pornographic materials.

​Anna was lucky because the stranger acceded to her appeal and removed the video clips from his social media account.

A colleague alerted her to the video clips.
