Anja Ringgren Loven is social worker from Denmark and she helps children in Nigeria. There she met a little boy and on her Facebook profile she published heart -breaking photos of him, which raised the awareness of many.

This little boy at the age of 2, has been abandoned by his parents, since they thought he was a witch. The boy was left on by himself, and his condition was terrifying when the Danish social worker found him.

Anja provided proper care and medical assistance after she found that this boy, 8 months is wandering around. She called him Hope after she published the photos.

Today, all of you will agree that the results of her love and care for Hope are evident. The condition of the boy are significantly improved, even though his chances of survival were minimal initially.

As you can see on the newest photos, Hope looks much healthier and happy, after he has gained few pounds.

Below the image, Anja wrote:

“The day I carried this sweet little boy in my arms for the very first time I was so sure he would not survive. Every breath he took was a struggle and I did not want him to die witht a name, without dignity, so I named him Hope. Hope to me is a special name. Not only the meaning of Hope, but what it stands for. Many years ago I got the name HOPE tattooed on my fingers because to me it means: Help One Person Everyday.”
