To those who say exes can’t be friends, this story might make you think again.

Malaysian singer Diorlying was recently in Singapore for her Kampung Girl concert at The Star Theatre, drawing a crowd of over 5,000 fans. The show marked her first tour, as well as her first overseas stop outside of Malaysia.

In a subsequent interview with reporters, the singer shared that the Singapore show was “especially meaningful” to her.

“As someone from southern Malaysia, I feel a special connection to this place. I grew up watching Singaporean TV dramas, so being able to come back here and hold my own concert is truly very touching,” she said.

While Diorlying wowed the audience with her powerful vocals and charming stage presence, fans found themselves distracted by an unexpected moment — the appearance of her ex-boyfriend, Firdhaus.

According to concertgoers, the 27-year-old Malaysian singer was spotted attending the show with his boss, Yise Loo, and was seen making his way towards the front of the stage.

Firdhaus and Diorlying dated for four years before their high-profile split in 2024. The former couple also collaborated on the 2023 hit duet Divorce In Ghana.

After the concert, Firdhaus took to Instagram Stories to show his support.

“From a live streamer to brand collaborations, then a singer-songwriter and female star — it hasn’t been an easy journey. Such a great concert. Proud of you,” he wrote, tagging Diorlying.

While Diorlying did not respond directly to his post, she shared in the same interview that things between them are now amicable.

“I think I’ve grown up. Many things are already in the past, and some things don’t feel so hard to talk about anymore,” she said.

“People grow, and when you look back, you realise some things don’t really matter. They’re not a big deal anymore. We’re still friends now.”
