Huang Xiaoming Had To Gain & Lose Weight For New Drama — “There’s Almost A 25kg Difference!” He Reveals

Has Huang Xiaoming been spending all his time in the gym for the past few months?

The 47-year-old Chinese actor shared photos of his recent dramatic body transformation on WeChat 'Moments'.

Xiaoming revealed that he had to gain and lose weight for a new drama, and that there was "almost a 25kg difference" between the before and after pics that he posted.

In one of the before pics, Xiaoming shows off his belly and the weight he's gained, while he looks extremely gaunt in another photo, presumably having lost weight for the drama as well.

What about the photos of him looking extremely jacked with his washboard abs? Those photos are of him back to regular programming, of course.

He explained that he wanted to share these pics of his weight fluctuation for keepsake.

It wasn't long before Xiaoming's pictures got circulated and even started trending on Weibo, though netizens have polarising views about it.

Some felt that the star looked "so oily" and chastised him for flaunting his body when he's "already an [almost] 50-year-old old man".

​"Why do people who hit the gym like to show their underwear?," another netizen said.

Fans, however, defended the star for his professional attitude and remarkable discipline.

"47 years old? He looks 27," quipped one such fan. 

Either way, we gotta admit that the transformation is quite impressive, isn't it?
