Fans had to wait two years for 2PM to release their last record Grown and it seems the six-member group is not afraid to take their time when it comes to churning out their full-length studio albums. Their latest output Go Crazy! was dropped after a 16-month interval and the long wait is definitely worthwhile as it sees them returning to their R&B roots albeit with more trendy elements.

The boys do it best with snazzy beats: Judging by the teaser images for the album, it was easy to guess that their title track would feature a high-energy number that shows off 2PM’s playful side. And indeed, ‘Go Crazy!’ is a catchy party anthem that is reminiscent of 2011’s ‘Hands Up’. Member Jun. K was heavily involved in the production process, contributing to the song’s lyrics and composition. It sets the mood for the entire album and is followed up by danceable tunes ‘Like Tonight’ and ‘Goodbye Trip’.

Who says they cannot have a good time with ballads: The boys got their jazzy alter-egos on for ‘She’s Ma Girl’ and are smooth operators on the piano-based ballad ‘Boyfriend’. Each member has their turns to shine, although Jun. K and Junho stand out more for their stunning vocals. It is through these slower, subtle counterparts that 2PM proves they can still have a great time without all the typical electro-pop trappings.

Recommended tracks: ‘Go Crazy’, ‘She’s Ma Girl’, ‘Like Tonight'
